How did you become a Test Man?
I spent my career with Verizon Wireless in the IT organization and always had an interest in gaining more knowledge about the wireless industry and the network, so I applied for and received the “Test Man” position.

What’s the most rewarding part of your day?
Knowing I contribute daily to help keep the network at optimal performance for our existing and future customers.

What do you have in common with the Test Man in the commercials?
We truly do test everywhere.

Which traits make you a successful Test Man?
My technical background and being detail-oriented make me a successful Test Man.

Why does Verizon Wireless need to test the network every day?
To ensure customers receive the best possible wireless service each and every day.

What is the most unique place you have visited to test the Verizon Wireless network?
A dirt road with pot holes the size of the tires on my truck in the middle of literally nowhere.

How does Verizon Wireless use the data you collect?
There are many ways the data collected is used, including to benchmark our cell sites and to identify potential issues before they become actual problems for our customers.

What should consumers know about the Verizon Wireless network?
Each and every employee puts 110 percent of his or her dedication to make Verizon Wireless the best wireless network in the industry.

What achievement/aspect of your job are you most proud of?
I started as a contractor, was hired on as a full-time employee and then was promoted to a senior technical analyst. I was then nominated to participate in the 2007 Midwest Mobility program, which I successfully completed and now am working with the Network department as a “Test Man.”
