How did you become a Test Man?
Began career as a technician, then technical service supervisor, then senior technician, then applied for baseline technician (testman) position when it became available.
What’s the most rewarding part of your day?
Making a meaningful contribution to keep our network better than any other.
What do you have in common with the Test Man in the commercials? I work for a great company with great people.
Which traits make you a successful Test Man? Attention to detail, concentrating on the fundamentals of the business, ability to work well as part of a team or on my own.
What does “It’s the Network” mean to you?
Our network is our competitive edge.
Why does Verizon Wireless need to test the network every day? Because our customers depend on our network every day.
What is the most unique place you have visited to test the Verizon Wireless network? Greater Cincinnati Airport, Miami University football stadium to ensure network quality during games.
How does Verizon Wireless use the data you collect?
The collected data is processed with advanced software and thoroughly analyzed by our engineering teams to uncover any opportunities for improvement. It is also used to determine how we measure against the competition.
What should consumers know about the Verizon Wireless network? That we have America’s most reliable network.
What achievement/aspect of your job are you most proud of? I drive 75,000 miles a year, and I have never caused an accident.
